blind handyman
The Blind Handyman Show is the brain-child of Phil Parr, who is totally blind and has been from birth. The idea for the program came about quite naturally based on three key factors: Phil’s love for broadcast radio, his passion for tools and power equipment, and a strong notion that many other blind people share his enthusiasm for independence, especially when it comes to doing home repairs, maintaining the family car, or using power tools safely. Phil simply combined his interest and knowledge in these areas, and The Blind Handyman Show was born. Since then Phil Parr and friends meet together on Saturday’s to knock down the barriers to doing it yourself around the home.
